MALACCA TRIP
|
|
My plan was to photograph Malacca as much as i can. Unfortunately, i've to babysit my two beloved children because my wife have to attend her academic meetings. What to do?
On this night i managed to sneak out of the hotel and go to Jonker Walk.
This is what i could come out with. The most important thing is i enjoyed it very much.
Will be going back to Malacca in July or August. This time..... alone.

This Wesak is more special. This is because i was accompanied by 4 of my students that is very enthusiastic in photography. They're Miss Jay, Aiza, Shahzeek and my loyal partner Ikhmal. It gets more interesting because things that i learned from few years back photographing Wesak i managed to overcome the technical tactical skills. To me, Wesakn also one of the wonderful religious celebration, this is Malaysian beauty.
When i see people i get very passionate, i don't care about the obstacle that i'll be facing or the consequences. All should have that attitude.
Robert Capa said "When your picture are not good enough, that's mean that you're not close enough"
I hope i'll live for another 50 or 60 years old with my cameras.

Not creative! With good exercise and proper knowledge you could overcome it.
Lazy! It will keep you in the same stage forever.

Penang True Colors
|
|
I was born in the heart of Georgetown. Even then, i didn't see Penang like the way i saw Penang in this trip. Appreciation towards Penang grew even more within me. I miss that smell, I met people that i've known since i'm little. I get to know that some of them already rest in peace.
We explore Penang following our heart with the research we have done as reference. It was adventurous and fun. I also try my best against all odds to get photograph that satisfied my thirst for photography.
It is one of the best trip i've experienced. All of us really strech an extra mile to get good photograph.
I hope Penang will always be as beuatiful and unique as today.

The Dying Cini
|
|
At first when i reach there, i was amazed by the surrounding. That is the impression when i'm at the riverbank. Started to travel via boat and met with the local Jakun Tribe, i found out that the Lake Cini is dying. There's illegal logging around the lake by some people .The content of the water is confirm polluted at this point by the scientist i went with.
Fish, plant and the entire ecosystem can't survive. The locals also started to felt this pressure. It'll dry and die in the future if this keep happening. Luckily, the locals still alive and enjoying every bit of this lake.
The more they hurt mother nature the we will suffer in the future. This second largest lake in Malaysia will vanish from this earth if people are very ignorance and selfish about their own self.
